They did a very good survey in the 1990s. It is important to have curretn

We prepared reports on the state of the art of biomass combustion,
gasification, carbonization and densification in mid-1990s as an activity of
phase I of Sida-funded Asian regional research programme in energy,
environment and climate (ARRPEEC; http://www.arrpeec.ait.ac.th). The phase
III of the programme is now approaching its end and we have been given fund
for special publications based on major outcomes of all the three phases so
far. A part of this fund will be used for updating/publishing these reports.

Each report contains a research directory, which is a compilation of current
and recently completed projects of different organizations and institutes.
We are now updating the compilation and request researchers and developers
to send information on their projects on any of the above topics by filling
a one-page questionnaire, as attached. In return, I will also be willing to
send our old compilation, which is obviously somewhat outdated, to any one
interested.

I would also be happy to send a soft copy of our final report to any one
whose questionnaire finds a place in our updated compilation of recent
projects. 

May I request you to please share information about your projects by filling
the attached questionnaire and also to please forward this questionnaire to
other researchers in your country who may like to fill it up.
