TIME SENSITIVE CALL FOR ABSTRACTS (deadline May 1, 2006)

Dr. Jan Piskorz, Dr. Jose' Dilcio Rocha; Dr. Franco Berruti, Dr. Cedric
Briens and Dr. Hugo de Lasa invite you to participate to:

1st International Congress on Green Process Engineering

      TOULOUSE, FRANCE - APRIL 24-26, 2007

Congress web site: http://inpact.inp-toulouse.fr/GPE2007/scope.htm

Dear colleagues,

"Green Process Engineering" is an emerging area of modern chemical
engineering. It can be defined as the part of chemical engineering, which
applies process engineering tools to design sustainable and safe chemical
processes. It requires the integration of new environmentally friendly
chemical routes and technical innovation in order to achieve green process
development.
The International Congress on Green Process Engineering has been created to
provide a forum for chemical engineers from industry and academia, working
in fine or specialty chemicals, green and alternative fuels, pharmaceuticals
or similar industries.

GPE 2007 will be held in 2007 in Toulouse on April 24-26, 2007.

One of the key areas of the congress that we have been invited to coordinate
and that we wish to bring to your attention is:

Biomass Pyrolysis and Gasification for Fuels and Chemical Products
. Thermal and catalytic processes
. Reactor technologies
. Product optimization, characterization, stabilization and applications
. Industrial applications for the production of fuels, fine chemicals,
flavoring agents and pharmaceuticals

We would like to bring together a critical mass of experts in the field of
Biomass Conversion at this Congress, and engage in a fruitful discussion on
the state-of-the-art in the field as well as review and discuss a good
number of solid and novel contributions.

We would be grateful if you could consider contributing to this Congress
with one or more high quality contributions. The deadline for the
submission of the abstracts is May 1, 2006.

The abstract submission can be done electronically by clicking on
http://inpact.inp-toulouse.fr/GPE2007/author_page.htm

Please note that the best papers will be considered for publication in the
International Journal of Chemical reactor Engineering (IJCRE) [
http://www.bepress.com/ijcre/ ].

Please review the web site http://inpact.inp-toulouse.fr/GPE2007/scope.htm
for any other information relative to the Congress.

The overall Conference topics include:

  a.. Sustainable and clean technologies
b.. New reaction media, green solvents in chemical processes
  c.. Innovative process design
  d.. Safety and Risk management
e.. Biomass Pyrolysis and Gasification for Fuels and Chemical Products
f.. New tools for Green Chemical Engineering Education and operator
training
We sincerely count on your contribution and we are looking forward to
meeting you in Toulouse for this important event.

Sincerely,

Jose' Dilcio Rocha, Jan Piskorz, Franco Berruti, Cedric Briens and Hugo de
Lasa
