Dear List,
I would like to have named this the algae fireball but I’m not sure if all of
my feedstock is/was algae. Most of it is like coarse hair plus small amount
of many other unmentionable things (along with some algae, I’m sure).
Last weekend I gathered some pond scum and processed it through my disposal.
The disposal handled it nicely but the pond scum was on the course side,
after processing. Next I processed some of this through my blender (after the
disposal process). This did an excellent job of reducing this feedstock.
Made three fireballs, by hand, and set them outside to dry.
#1 This one was the disposal processed feedstock.
#2 Blender processed feedstock.
#3 Was the disposal-processed feedstock but there was an effort to compress it
by hand.
The next day I checked to see how the experiment went. Apparently, a small
animal eat #3 because it was GONE! Nowhere to be found.
#1 bonded well but seems to be too corky.
#2 bonded VARY well and shows signs of hope.
That’s about it for now. SO LITTLE TIME!
Jeff
