All we do in the cold climates is set up a small scale electrical generator 
at the digestion site.  It produces electric power for ourselves and, if 
there is excess, for the grid.  We recover the waste heat and heat the 
buildings and the digester tanks as well.  It is not a big problem.  Instead 
of generating power off site and wasting the rejected heat, we keep the 
power generation onsite and recover the exhaust and water jacket heat 
instead of wasting it.

Such a system could work in the Antarctic if necessary (with suitable 
insulation).
