I have worked with a company New Energy Solutions Inc (www.nesi.biz) they have a method of converting ADG from dairy manure into pipeline quality natural gas, which also can be compressed for CNG vehicles. NESI also can produce ultra-pure hydrogen from the digester gas. NESI has a beta site on a dairy farm near Cornell Univ.
