G'day All,

Thanks Art (and Peter Z) for your comments.

One of my favourite sayings is "Minds are like parachutes - they only
function when open!" and a while back I realised both are often only
used in emergencies!

In reading many e-mails that I receive (and other comments/questions!) I
think many people start from the premise "we need cars/trucks for
transport!" or "we need electricity for ...." without thinking of other
approaches that may have a much lower energy demand and/or be a much
better use of the available resource.

Each form of energy has its preferred applications (to which it is
inherintly suited) and can also be transformed into other forms (with a
variable loss in efficiency). Why not minimise the efficiency loss (of
the larger system, NOT just the unit!!) by using different forms
appropriately?

Happy digesting,
HOOROO
