Michael,
Constructing a high capital cost Anaerobic Digestion (AD) system with only a
single, seasonal feedstock is not good planning. A well designed AD system
needs year round feedstocks to maximize production and economic return.
Though it is a crime against nature to waste fruit dropped by trees, they
represent only a fraction of the feedstocks needed to operate a year round
AD system.
Fruits are better feedstocks for a fermentation process due to high sugar
contents (beer, alcohol, etc) however will work in AD (methane) as well.
