Dear Group,
If you are not a citizen of the US, please delete this as you will not
qualify.
If you are a US citizen and have the qualifications they are seeking, this
could be an interesting volunteer assignment. I did a similar one two years
ago in Uzbekistan, and it kind of changed my world view on many
things.especially on the deployment of AD technologies.
If you are interested, please contact Ms. Tokochbaeva directly.
For those of you who may remember my name and thought that I died, those
rumors are far from true...
Last November I have been working a new assignment as the Administrator of
the Western Renewable Generation Information System or WREGIS, which is
currently set-up to track renewable energy certificates throughout the
western US. You can read more about that at http://www.wregis.org
<http://www.wregis.org/> .
On this day, Earth Day 2007,
Best wishes,
Phil Lusk

Subject: Winrock International assignment on Biogas Development
Dear Mr. Lusk,
My name is Aisuluu Tokochbaeva, I am recruiter for Winrock International
Farmer-to-Farmer Program in Kyrgyzstan. I am working with Darla Embry, she
is mobilizer for FTF progrma in Kyrgyzstan. I would like to propose you one
assignment on Biogas Development. The assignment is scheduled for May,
2007. Duration of assignment is 17 days including travel. I am sending you
the SOW for your reading. Please see attached file.
Here are details of SOW: One volunteer is requested. We are looking for an
expert on biogas facility design, construction and implementation.
Specifically many villagers in the area will not be able to afford a $5000+
hi-tech biogas facility that they will not be able to understand or repair
and need to be able to put together one from locally available materials and
know how to repair it. The natural gas situation in the country steadily
worsens as the supply lines through Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan get tighter,
prices continue to rise and the villagers suffer. Biogas facilities would
greatly alleviate this situation by first providing gas for heating and
cooking. Secondly the expert should understand compressors and generators
to be able to speak on the technology required to put together the pieces
for a complete plant.
Please let me know if you are interested in assignment and time is
acceptable for you.
Best regards,
(Ms) Aisuluu Tokochbaeva, Recruiter
