[Digestion] Costs and times of operation

Hi David,

I 'm looking also for information about investment costs and operational
cost for plug-flow digesters. Actualy I would like to find, based on real
operations a kind of rule of thumb for complete plants investment, expressed
on m3 of digester.

Michael Madsen sent me for help some material and in one of the reports

I could learn with the Haubenschild Farm AD Plant the followoing figures
(prices in 2000 ):

AD Plant: Plug-flow , heated, HRT designed for 20 days, 750 cows
Investment : Aprox. 339$/m3 reactor
Operational costs: Routine operations takes aprox. 45 minutes per day;
Yearly maintenance for an on-farm biogas generator, cost about 3700$/year,
but there are more costs on top of this related with pumps, gas fare, pipes
leaking and "surprises".

Once your farm is in México, I imagine different figures for investment
also! Am I right? It would be great if you could share a comparison of the 
investment
costs of your plant!

I have a farm with 1005 dairy cows and I'm going to build a plug-flow
digester. I've recolect information about with type and which size we
need in the farm, but there is no information about the cost of
operation and the time of construction.

I need this to make a forecast worksheet of costs and the ROI of the
project. It is a farm in México, so the costs of the people in hours
are less than in the US.

Can anybody has any information about that?
