International Methane Recovery

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency requests proposals for 

Activities that Advance Methane Recovery and Use as a Clean Energy 

Source.  Through this initiative, EPA seeks activities that support 

methane capture and use in developing countries and countries with 

economies in transition.  The list of eligibile countries includes: 

Argentina, Brazil, China, Colombia, Ecuador, India, Republic of 

Korea, Mexico, Nigeria, Russia, and the Ukraine.  $7 million 

expected to be available, up to 40 awards anticipated.  Responses 

due 2/22/08.
