Firstly from the resarch of Dr. Douglas Pratt and his team at the
Univ. of MN, done back in the '70s, and secondly from the book by David
Blume, titled "Alcohol Can Be A Gas" (http://www.permaculture.com) which
is an absolute must have for anyone interested in biofuels. It's a large
volume, very well researched, and has complete info on the whole
fermentation/distillation process, feedstocks, and conversions vehicles,
plus much much more. If we could somehow have had this book back in the
60's I'm convinced the world would be a far different place today.
