Glad you have made things clearer on that front Duncan, I have never fully come to terms with all the engineering. I appreciate it is impossible to guarantee a residence time and this can be a problem, but if hygienisation is an issue, a pasteurization step could be implemented.
Oddly enough That Duncan did make things clearer.
And, oddly, I am begining to understand you people.
Which is why I would like to ask you if any of you are familiar with the AD work done by Mr. Dennis A. Burke -- who is located in Olympia, WA, and is an engineer.
Since I have met Dennis, and have reviewed all of his material on-line, I now know some of what he has created, and it does address almost all of what you are discussing, and much more. His is a multi- step AD process, and includes a pasteurization step as well.
Since being introduced to Dennis' AD process, I have spent some time reading and learning about ALL of the other AD systems currently being sold in the US. To date, his still appears to be the most complete and most state of art system. As all AD systems do, he addresses "clean water" output, but it is done in multistages, and that not only increases the methane output, but maximizes the cleansing of the manure.
What he also does very well is to also address the "clean air" questions/issues, and "clean residue" questions/issues.
But, what is also most significant about his engineering, is that he has addressed every one of the "side issues" that most AD systems being sold simply ignore -- CO2, phosphorous overloading, ammonia, SO2, and maximum methane production.
If you are not familiar with his work, I would invite you to visit his site.
If you ARE familiar with his work, I would very much like to have you share with me your thoughts about his system -- how it addresses your AD questions/issues and how you think it compares with the other AD systems being sold in the US.
