[Digestion] Analytical Data on Feedstocks

Paul and all, Hi

The German groups who are running large biogas plants on forage maize
are very keen to add glycerin to their plants. I think glycerin helps
the hydrolysis process. It is easier to get a hydroxyl ion from glycerin
than from water, so it accelerates the breakdown of vegetable materials.
I am not sure what the proportion of glycerin should be, but I am fairly
sure that too much might be a problem. It seems to work best as an
additive to other feedstocks.

Cheers,

David
