You could use a biodegradable oil to reduce the surface tension of the
bubbles, but be careful not to generate an organic overload e.g. spent
cooking oil, or biodiesel should do the job, I have sucessfuly done this
while the feed regime was sorted in a full-scale plant. A very common
cause of foaming is the feeding regime, if possible try and feed in as
many batches as possible, rather than on few events of high loading.
