When I suggested on a blog that the local sewage treatment plant
should stop flaring off all the gas they collected and save it to burn
for heat or run a generator, they actually ran a news article in the
paper saying what a bad idea that was, that it was far too dirty to use
for anything and had to be burned. The same newspaper had previously run
articles about the gas from a landfill in the state being used to run a
generator, and gas from a digester at a large dairy feedlot being used
to produce electricity. Go figure!
