Hi Han.
This issue was discussed some months ago, about where each type of biodigester can be used. O course all of them can be use any where, but Im agree with you that the different types have different of family final user.
ARTI compac biodigester i think is adapted for urban and semiurban families. But for rural families, on my experiencie, the dont have food waste (or the reuse it on pigs) and they want a good natural fertilizer, sometimes more appreciate than the biogas produced on a biodigester.
I think there are several model of biodigestoer:
-low cost tubular: You can watch video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Sl0XEN5Bgo
-compact: i think yu already know this link http://www.arti-india.org/content/view/45/52/
-Semi Rigid Camera Case: The are having very good experiences http://www.ruralcostarica.com/biodigester.html

I work on low cost tubular biodigesters to get a good fertilizer, because the family final user are rural families. This type of biodigester could work at very low temperatures (-15 ºC during the night) with a proper natural protection. I wrote a small book about it (copyleft, free distribution book) but is in spanish. I hope it will be in english soon.
kind regards
Jaime
