I am interested in what temperatures you are working with when you
perform "low temperature'
processes. We do biogas studies in the "north" here (Maine, USA) where
supplemental heating is
often required and we are trying more natural ambient processes.

Hi claudia
about the human manure, you can feed the biodigester with it, but you will be limited in the use of the fertilizer, because still have 'coliforms' (i dont know the name in english, sorry). You will be killing the 90% if the coliforms, but that 10% is bad for human health if you use the fertilizer in your normal plants. You can use that fertilizer, if you load the biodigester with human manure, in trees , flowers, and plants that the fruit is 50cm over the sand.
By the way, we propose to install two biodigesters, one for animal manure, to get enough biogas for cooking, and unrestringes fertilizer, and a small biodigester for the bathroom. We are beginning with the first proyect with small biodigester for the bathroom. They will produce 75-100 liters of biog?s per day, and you can use the biogas to heat water for the shower. We are developmenting the biogas shower from the old alcohols showers.
mmm, about the contact in germany about this proyect i think there isnt. This is a big energy proyect, with stoves, fotovoltaic, water for the plants, electricy, and biodigesters is only a small part. I have been developing the original biodigester os Botero and Preston, for the last 6 years here in bolivia to work at high altitudes and low temperatures. Im the responsable of the biogas part, but there a a responsable of the complete program, of course. here you can find more information about tje whole program: www.endev-bolivia.org.
We keep in contact
