On some what of a side note.  If you can find a substantial amount of
chicken litter with sawdust you are one lucky cat. In the United States
(and slightly less in Canada) poultry are "grown" in the most inhumane
fashion. It is the norm in the southern United States to have 3 tiered
chicken barns with each level of chickens below the top eating the
manure that falls into its cage. (This is done to save on chicken feed)
What ever hits the ground is scraped from a solid cement floor out the
door. I find it ironic that by "greening" the waste production from
these corporate barns actually causes increased animal suffering and
rural de-development.
