[Gasification] Path from Biomass to Ethanol by way of Ethane.

        Thank you for your response. Your detailed reply will make a 
wonderful presentation for the archives. There may be more to be discussed here.  More 
specifically I am interested in IF:
       A) A type of bioconversion process exists, which could favor more 
ethane production over methane. 
       B) If a type of gasification with possible reforming of the gas could 
favor a high percentage of ethane in the final product. 
       C) What the most efficient process is to convert ethane into ethanol.
