I plan on using a 450 IHC (Cornbinder) Red Diamond on woodgas. I'm sure
one would need more power if you plan on high feed rates/volume. The
disk/flywheel must weigh a ton. Depends on how many knives and rpm etc.

I would not use a band saw but that is what I have. You might look into a
swing saw or dimensional saw.
