Dear All:
The active ingredient in the oils from orange, grapefruit, lemon, ...
skins is "limonene". (See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Limonene).
d-Limonene is a terpene (like turpentine) and is an excellent solvent,
so is used in all kinds of magic cleaning solutions.
It is high octane so could be used as an octane enhancer. I have run my
lawnmower on pure limonene.
And it smells great...
------------------------------------------------------------------------
I wonder how much of the citrus crop limonene is now collected
(expressed) and how much will be collected when oil hits $100/bbl.
Any info appreciated.
