[Gasification] pH of wastewater obtained from ricehusk based gasifier

Dear all,
I found that the pH of the wastewater obtained from the cleaning and
cooling system of ricehusk based gasifier is always acidic (3-5) while it
is always in high basic range (8-10) for wood or woodchips based gasifier
systems.
Could anyone help me out in understanding the possible reason behind it.
Regards,
Kusum Lata

Re: [Gasification] Hot charcoal for exhaust cleaning
Heating the vegetable oil to about 160 deg F will reduce the viscosity
of the oil and may reduce hydrocarbons in the exhaust. Engine exhaust
gases could be used for preheating the oil with a suitable heat
exchanger. Golden Fuel Systems, USA who sell kits for converting
diesel powered cars to use used cooking oil, provides such a preheater
in their conversion kit.
