Well, you were wrong. This is not alt.energy, or the biofuels
list, or any of the many, many multi-interest discussion groups. This
is about gasfication -- period. It is a very narrow focus technical
forum -- let's keep it that way.
If you want a more wide ranging discussion, I suggest you
subscribe to the biofuels list.

Or the bioenergy list right here at repp.org. The folks at Repp
very nicely set up these forums and divided them up into specific
areas because they knew that not everybody had the same interests.
Please have some respect for others.

No, what drives off good members is all the off-topic crap. I've
been on electronic forums since before the internet even existed and
we just had BBS's and fidonet, and have been on this list for about
ten years or more and I've seen it over and over -- people come on
the list and start posting all sorts of off-topic crap and people who
are only interested in the specific subject of that forum get pissed
and leave.

Why? Are you too lazy to subscribe to the appropriate lists?

As a matter of fact, I am very interested in ethanol. If you look around,
you will find many posts I have written about ethanol, bio-diesel, and
many other related topics, but I try to do so on the correct forums.
It's a matter of having respect for others -- I suggest you try to do
likewise. Also, learn to trim the quoted material when you post -- it
is very impolite and thoughtless to keep all that non-essential
material from the previous posts, it adds to the burden of people
having to download it, and it clogs up the hardrives of the servers
holding the archives.
