[Gasification] Steam injected into flame

Stovers and Gas-L readers,

We had a fine demonstration of the steam ejectors. Clearly the influence of
increased trubulance is the evident objective, and is highly successful.

Remove the little box from its hole in the side of the combustion area (not in
the gas-creating area), and the fire settles back to a languishing
flame. There is very little chimney to assist the mixing, so the steam
impact is so
very clear.

We could put our hand in front of the hot (but removed) steam ejector and feel
the stream of moving air (probably much entrainment of surrounding air) at
least 8 inches away. Numerous workshop members are quite interested in the
device and process. I plan on buying a couple of the boxes for testing in my
own stoves in Illinois.

I am not able to send any images yet.

Paul
