[Gasification] Converting biomass for ethanol

Dear Lewis and All:
Cracking the cellulose nut still eludes us commercially.
Paper is a relatively pure form of cellulose on which a great deal of
energy has been spent to get rid of the lignin and hemicellulose. Have
you heard any of the "cellulosic" proponents claiming we can convert our
waste paper? I wish them luck, but believe there are many more
practical paths for my taxpayer money.
Beware the energy "red herrings"!
