[Gasification] ...a question about hybrids

Oh dear, oh dear!

I was making a fast review according the criteria

(useful work X time) : weight

It should be evident, that braking time in road

travelling on flat land is comparatively low. In

hilly terrain something else.

An electric motor doing useful work at acceleration

and climbing uphill (including all kinds of resistance),

and generating electricity when going downhill or

braking is clearly a more efficient use of weight,

than a heavy device used ONLY for breaking.

That is the essence of the review, and one can

only be sorry, if such a technically based text

cannot find acceptance on its merit.

¤¤¤ If this wheel-driven alternator is used only

to produce battery charge current at braking,

it is VERY uneconomical and inefficient,

compared to the added weight. If it functioned

as a motor as well, keeping the drag-force near

zero it could be defendable.
¤¤¤

"Drag-force" here means drag-force

(and push-force) in the tug-boom,

uphill and downhill.

Regards

Max
