Dear forum,
I thank to all who answered me ,i've got another questions for you, maybe
stupid one but i must bu sure of it....
reading the engine tables on fluidyne archive, i can see that :
Based on wood moisture content of 15% wet basis
Woods gross heat energy content: 15,490kJ per kg
or 3.165kW heat from burning gas direct
or 0.837kW of shaft power i.e engine
or 0.754kW of electric power generated
1 litre of diesel has a heat energy content of 9.630 kW heat (or 32,895 BTU)
so what's the inlet flowsheet, for example , of a 70kWth gasifier working
with woodchips?
in theory if 1kg of wood contains 15500 kJ = 14700 BTU
70 kWth are more or less 239050 BTU or 255211 kJ or 16 kg of wood
is it right?
thanks
mario
