They just won't hold up. It's why the Army issues these in pairs for
mission critical
tasks.

>>Honda EU1000 have rated lives of 2000 hours (<3 months at 24/7 usage)
on gasoline. A genset may last longer on clean producer gas due to less
soot landing in the oil.<<

One year is 8,760 hours.

Clean producer gas can be good for an engine, but I doubt that good.
None of these small engines are going to last long relative to small scale
24/7 power generation. Or even auto engines. I think the practical
choices
resolve to either:

1) Using a heavy industrial engine designed for such service or

2) Bring the engine overhaul and rebuild work 'in house'. This means a
basic
machine shop capability. This approach can minimize cash outlays,
obviously.
And those going this route may as well start with run-out engines bought
for
salvage and rebuild them from the beginning.

Minus that 24/7/365 small scale power generation is a pipe dream.
You cannot save money outsourcing 3-6 engine rebuilds a year, let alone make
any
that way.
