Dear Gero,

Thank you for your informative reply. I am NOT a spokesperson for the
Gasification Listserv, and my T-LUD tiny gasifiers are for residential
cooking,
so I am not in the big leagues like you and others.

The listing of gasifier makers (including your company) can be found at:
http://gasifiers.bioenergylists.org

I especially thank you for attaching your price information. I would like to
see price information on the other gasifier systems, especially in relation to
electricity output.

In my novice way (so please correct me if I am wrong), it appears that for
US$132,120 the buyer gets a 120 Nm3/h system with a max output of
40kWe (180kWth). That price is "ex works" (or FOB, or buyer to pay
the shipping) and
does not include the gensets (engines and generators) or the site-preparation
costs (cement slab, etc.) or installation.

But once installed and operational, if the fuel-cost is low, or free
(biowastes), the unit has low operational costs.

From my novice viewpoint, I can see why people seek to make systems that are
less expensive. But there seem to be few who have made as much
progress as you
have, have several installed sites, and actually can list a product for sale.

Of course, the issues include more than just price and output. Reliability,
maintenance, fuel options, etc. are also vitally important.

Again, welcome to the Gasification Listserve. I hope you make many
friends and
many mutually beneficial contacts here.

Paul
