Re the gasifier -- I am in process of detailing the device -- measurements
- -rough drawings -- and pictures.

If the powers that be allow -- I can post it in parts along with file
attachments so everyone can see -- and maybe know??

For now -- my gut feeling says it has everything we could wish for and more
-- being as the body material is 3/16 in thick iron -- lines with at least
1 in of excellent refractory -- the large gas port (4 in ID is 1/4 in stock
side walls -- as well as the clean out port -- which is 6 on dia.

More -- more -- much more -- but later.

OK - -some quick numbers:

It stands 44 in tall -- OD 18 in -- ID 16 in --

18 inches of top fuel space -- 26 in of slow taper from 16 to 5 in --
which is the throat size -- all backed with solid plastic refractory --
which is fire cured -- hardened -- like "lava" -- in place.

Throat is reverse taper 2.5 in thick -- then opens to what looks like 10 in
diameter -- drops to the grate 4 in lower (so total 6.5 in below top of
throat entrance)

The grates look like angle irons -- 1 by 1 -- heavily impregnated with
refractory -- spaced about 1/2 or 3/4 in apart. Pointy side facing up.

There are other interesting parts of the layout -- but would need send
pictures and diagrams to demonstrate.

But hey -- everything one needs to play with gasification --

Oh -- these come with some straw ash in them -- so they are test fired at
the factory --

The gas cleaner is a total mystery -- does not follow the original patent
diagrams much -- but is based on two passes through a water bath.

That should trap tars and cool it down well??

I see nothing to show that they inject air into the throat area!!

It is a cigaret standing on end!!

The only air entry is a pipe with valve at the very top.

So ya -- tricky to figure out unless trying it in action.
