[Gasification] "un-inverting" an Inverted Downdraft Gasifier?

Dear All:

If you invert the "inverted downdraft gasifier", you get the
conventional Downdraft (Imbert) Gasifier.

It turns out that for subtle reasons the DG operates best at very high
thruput and the IDG operates at much lower thruput levels. Look for my
coming book.

Over a million were produced and used during WWII and saved the lives of
the civilian population. What's going to save 7 B lives when oil and
gas are gone?
