[Gasification] Propane compared to producer gas

Jared,

Producer gas ready to mix with air at the engine is much different than
propane. It has lower pressure, and the chemical energy per unit-volume (BTU
per standard cubic foot) is much much lower than propane.

My engine system takes suction on the finnished gas through an isolation
valve (always fully open or shut). An air-isolation valve (always either
fully open or shut) is downstream a butterfly air metering valve. Air and
woodgas mix in a welded wye. The ratio of this fuel to air is said to be
about one to one. The mixture is then throttled to control engine power.

There needs to be more discussion on better ways to meter and mix the gas
any ideas? Be back later, I'm on my way to deercamp. I'll read everything
later.

Andy
