No hands on experience yet Tom.
That Doc file was sent to me by my agent in china -- who got it directly
from the factory -- and it is an exact copy of what is printed in the
manual I hold in my hands that came with this device.
I have edited out the Chinese glyphs and kept just the "Chinglish" and have
presented that appended to this message.
but they suggest lighting when half filled -- and the blower running --
then after that --

Remember -- your talking dry straw -- not any other kind of fuel.
Dry straw burns like gasoline -- so probably -- by the time you have filled
it and capped it -- the "fire" is down in the "throat" -- and staying there.
I imagine by adjusting the air in valve at the very top you control just
where the burn stays?? And thus -- your gas quality.
For conversion to run on charcoal I plan to insert an air pipe feed from
top lip directly to the proper area -- just above the grate?? (Help!!) and
put the same valve supplied on that for regulation.
Ken Boak in england and myself are roughing out a complete set of radical
experiments -- based on using multiples of the same device -- being as they
are os economical.
And when that time comes we will be "SHOUTING" for as much help as we can
get from all you old timers!!
As example -- by switching air path directions -- use one gasifier for
carbonizing (charcoal or pyrolysis) and the other for gasifying the result
-- simply by opening and closing valves. We also believe the off gasses
from the pyrolysis can be gasified if injected along with air into the
reaction zone or the charcoal/torrefied wood gasifier??
Combine two gas cleaners in series -- or three -- etc.

Introduction JXQ-10A
JXQ-10A appliance stalk gasification device is a small-size equipment that
uses crop straw and other agricultural waste to make straw gas. This
equipment utilizes international and domestic stalk gasification
pyrogenation technology.. It is an epochal product resulted from many years
of research. It can manufacture environment-protective gas using common
biological materials such as straw. It serves as a solution to environment
pollution caused by destroying straw on fire and save trees by replacing
them by straw. Thus, it protects environment, saves energy sources and
improve the life quality of farmers.
gasification principle
The technology of stalk gasification low inhaling is a technology that
converts biological materials such as straw into energy by a high-pressure
exhaust fan in a high temperature state. Straw is mainly consist of carbon,
hydrogen, oxygen and ash. When these elements meet in a controlled high
temperature state, they combine together to be carbon monoxide, hydrogen
gas, and methane. These are all burnable gas. The process in which
biological materials converts into burnable gas is named gasifying process.

The principle of gasifying process:
biological materials enter reactor, and undergo heat drying. As the
temperature increases, the volatile is separated out and split. After
splitting, the gas and carbon meet supplied air in the oxidation area and
combustion takes place. The combustion results in CO and vapor. The heat
from combustion is utilized to maintain dryness, splitting reaction and
endothermic reaction of the underneath reversion area. The gas resulted
from the combustion goes through the reversion area and reacts with carbon
layer(C+CO2=2CO?C+HO2=H2+CO), which produces burnable gas consisting of
CO?H2?CH4?CmHn. The burnable gas is separated from impurities such, and
then tar goes out from the bottom ready for use. The ash is discharged from
the bottom of the equipment.
Installation
1 It can be installed inside or outside of a residence. If installed
inside, it should not be in bedroom or rooms connecting to the bedroom, so
that CO poisoning is prevented. The place where the equipment is installed
must have good ventilation.
2 The place where the equipment is installed should have 220 power
outlet(s) that is for exhauster..
3 Special rubber tubes, steel tubes or PVC tubes can be used to connected
special stoves and gasification device. The connection should be level so
as to prevent water accumulation in the tube that affects gas going forward.
4 The room installed with stoves should have powerful ventilator.
5 The vent-pipe should be connected to the air outside of the residence.
6 The gasification device has the circulating water reduces the heat the

7 Stoves should be placed in a environment with good ventilation. Direct

Preparation

(3) Use the tube behind the filter to fill water into water-valve which is
under the filter. The water level should be 12-14cm.

(5) Examine the airproof of the ash-discharge door. Examine the airproof of
valves.
(6) Examine the airproof of the connection between filter and the stove.
(7) Install powerful ventilator in the kitchen and then install the
equipment according to the manual.
Use
(1) Turn on the powerful ventilator
(2) Turn off the valve of gas stock source and turn on the valve of the
vent-pipe.
(3) Plug in the high-pressure exhauster. Put straw into the gasification
device until half of it is full. Ignite the straw in the gasification
device, and add more straw into it until it is completely full.
(4) After the straw burning 1-2 minutes, turn on pulse switch on the stove.
Then turn on the stove gas source switch. After the stove is lit up, turn
off vent-pipe valve.
(5) Pass to regulate to purify the machine a spirit a valve door regulate
the gasification device produces the spirit rate of speed
(6) The strength of the stove firepower can be adjusted by the switch on
the stove.
(7) While throwing the ash, the gasification device wants to reserve the

Cautions
1 Decontamination machine adoption circulating When the water reduce the

too long(>2cm)

(1) Check whether the ash-discharge door is closed tightly.
(2) Check whether the door of filter is closed tightly.
(3) Check whether the door of stock value is closed tightly.
(4) Check whether the straw in gasification device is burn out. If so, add
straw.
(5) Check whether there is a hole in the reaction area. (During the process
of reaction, straw cannot move automatically. This makes a hole between
straw and the reaction area.) If there is a hole, move manually straw down.
4 The fire is not powerful on the stove
(1) Check whether there water accumulated in pipes so that burnable gas
cannot circulate.
(2) Check whether the water level in water-value is too high. If so, turn
on the waste-discharge valve and get rid of the water.
(3) Check whether the ash in ash-room is full.
(4) Check whether the bars (grate) is blocked.
(5) The impulse switch cannot light up a fire. Check the battery or the plug.
Repairing and maintain
1 Clean the ash regularly. Open the ash-discharge door, clean the ash in
the stove. Generally clean it once each day. Clean ash residue one the
inside wall of the stove. When close the door, make sure to clean ash-door
section and then close the door tightly.
2 Clean the cushion of the ash-discharge door. If it is worn out, replace
it by a new one.
3 Clean regularly the waste water and tar in filter. Clean it once in 10-15
days
4 Check regularly whether there is water accumulated in vent-pipes. Get rid
of the water in time.
