A good biological filter would remove the odors as well at a lower capital 
cost.

The advantage of the Thermal Oxidizer is in the energy recovery since they 
need to produce steamy anyway.

Good idea!  I spoke with them about six months ago about this concept and 
their management ASSURED me that they had the problem well in hand and 
didn't need any help to solve the problem.  Rather than question his 
judgment and torque his jaws at the time, I politely asked him to give me a 
call if things changed.  He has not called.
