What if we make charcoal firballs for our reactor and blend them with iron
(would iron oxide work?), hence metal-steam reforming (MSR). Isn't that
about 450C?

Furthermore, MAYBE the iron could be reused with the aid of a magnet to
capture the iron that is in the filtered ash.
