[Gasification] Updraft, Downdraft, Stratified and inverted

'Foundry' is an area of immediate application for biomass based fuels.  As 
oil and gas prices rise everyone will first look to the wall plug for 
potential relief wherever possible.  This will put immediate pressure on 
electricity prices through enhanced demand.

'Charcoal' is traditional in foundry work and was the second foundry fuel 
after wood.  Improved applications of biomass to metallurgical work are 
needed here as well.  The sources of metallurgical energy we've become 
accustomed to  - gas, electricity, and coal capacity - are all becoming 
highly supply stressed.

I came across this old note from Doug Williams and thought it worth
rereading.  Doug is certainly one of our long time supporters and we are
so glad to have him and all his comments here.  Doug's note of 12/12/05
