The problem with producer gas is the carbon blacks, which certainly can be
caught for a price increase to the installation. They coat the heads with
fine dust like ash, that is if the heads are designed to allow the quantity
of gas required to get around their heating surfaces.

I have worked with a German Stirling engine developer, and the Micro Class
gasifier shown on the Fluidyne Archive www.fluidynenz.250x.com was to
answer a question posed on behalf of Whispergen. "Can wood pellets be
gasified for their system". The answer was no for our type of gasification,
and as it would only require three kg/hr to run this engine, the automation
needed for domestic use would make for expensive hot water. Stirling's
appeal is out of sight, and out of mind. Total convenience!

Doug Williams.
