Hi Leland,
I assume you are incorrectly addressing this question to Peter Wilson,
instead of me.

This was from one Simon Ramana (New Zealander), the former Technical
Director of the Fluidyne licenced partnership in Winnipeg. He was
responsible for the technology transfere to the partnership, and once the
scaling up process began to look like working, decieded it was all his own
invention. He left the partnership with blank business computers, and all
construction drawings dissapeared. He resurfaced after drawing attention to
himself, and questions began to flow about the origins of the technology. The
really good thing is that he did not have time to learn the important stuff.
That took another three years, thanks to his wasting money on trying to
develop multi engine driven generation. I made the mistake of not checking
his NASA employment identification in the first place!!!

Protecting ones intellectual property from being stolen or copied, where
patents offer no protection, is impossible, when the people you trust have
no integrity,. This should send a warning right across the gasification
community, particularly consultants and investment advisors. Gasification
technology just cannot appear without a documented progression of
development, and you need to know with whom you are placing your business
credibility. Gasification has a real place in renewable energy options our
future needs, but premature promotion to implement immature gasifying
technologies, will get the project into a lot of trouble.

Doug Williams,
Fluidyne Gasification.
