[Gasification] [Stoves] Working Drawings of Stoves

Dear Tom Miles and All:

   1. I absolutely agree with you that construction drawings are a
necessity for transmitting stove technology around the world to
those who need it. This is particularly true if you wish to have
them manufactured - and why bother otherwise.
   2. However, it is the nature of small stove manufacture that new
stoves for testing will be made from readily available materials
(such as tincanium) that may vary from place to place. So I would
also like to suggest that a diagramatic picture showing the
original biomass and your best guess as to where the pyrolyis is
starting and where the charcoal is being consumed are equally
important. I am attaching such a drawing for the Agua Das
gasifier that melts 1 lb of bronze with 1 lb of trashy biomass (as
opposed to 5 lb of charcoal made from 25 lb of biomass). See at
      http://www.woodgas.com/history9.htm.
   3. And finally, it is equally important to have some understanding of
the physics and chemistry of the processes and describe them in
terms of fuel density, air/fuel ratios, primary pyrolysis air
entry, secondary air combustion etc. (For instance as at
      http://bioenergylists.org/en/fuelconversioner

Enough said... Cheers and onward
