So 370-500 DK/tonne = USD 63-85/tonne (USD 57-77/ton) 

It's in the same range. 

With energy prices increasing the value of the residue to the farmer has increased in the US from about $12/acre to $40-$60/acre. That's an increas from about $5/tonne to $18-$26/tonne in our area. Some farmers are beginning to either raise their price or not sell their straw.

I am not very much into the economics of the process itself - although I have read in the press that the ethanol is about being competitive with gasoline. A quarter €/l (0,27) is around half of the market price of ethanol today – this is stated on the site. It is around 2,5 DKK/liter gasoline when you take lower energy content into consideration.

The straw price is the price that DONG Energy buys at in the market (370 DKK/ton). The farmers would probably want more. Many DH plants in DK pay more. They don’t have the same scale of economy as DONG Energy. Farmers claim a price at around 500 DKK/ton - but it is a free market.

Just a couple of question, are there any money in it for the farmers,  

or is the 50 €T just the cost of transportation of the straw.

Is the 0,27 €L the total cost of production, what means included  

production profit.

It seem to me that the process is fully competitive, if it is without  

Gov. subsidies ?? is that the case ?? when is it competitive, at $ 60 -  

50 - 40 a gallon, of oil.
