Dear Jeff:

This comes pretty close to what you will find, but there will be lots of 
cats and dogs of tar too:

CH1.4O0.6 + Heat ==>0.7 Charcoal +  0. 2 CO + 0.1 CO2 + 0.2 H2O + 0.5 H2 
+ .......    (T 400-500C)

In flaming pyrolysis in  the TLUC stove, it is more like:

 CH1.4O0.6 + 0.1 (O2 + 3.76 N2) ==> 0.8 CO + 0.7 H2 + 0.4 N2  (DHr = 63 
MJ/kg;  HHV (gas) = 7.4 MJ/m3
