I have found an interesting power saw solution. I use a 12 volts to 120
inverter -- 1 kw capacity -- off a small car battery -- and that runs the
old skilsaw real fine.

I sell these inverters here for $110 -- they have become popular.

The skilsaw test is how we verify them.
