Kevin,
The jem trade is all sewn up, The quality of Zirconia and the like, could surpass, anything mined at kimberly or found on the forbidden beach, arrangements have been made, and deals struck, Where are the mavericks?
I find it quite amazing, that educated people, believe, that , as ice bergs melt, there will be an increase in sea levels. The fact that ice shrinks as it melts , somohow got left out of the equasion. in the global warming research, by those on the recieving end, of the grants issued by big brother.
The fact that our weather paterns are changing, has been snatched up by GORE and his ilk, prophecing doom unless we modify our life style. No one has yet come forward to tell us of the possible advantages of global warming ? An increase in global temperatures mean, more life, in the oceans and on land. Where in the earths history do you find a DIE OFF when the temperature increases. The fact that global warming is the cause of an increase in CO2 is completely ignored and put forward like the cart before the horse. as being OUR FAULT.
The fact is, that global warming is a gift, people in the north will save on fuel bills, grow grapes in Greenland.
Lets get positive. CO2 is not the cause of our Bonanza.

Dear GF
To continue your diamond observations... General Electric did a great deal of work in the 1960's producing synthetic diamonds. They found a way to make synthetic gem grade diamonds, but they and DeBeers agreed there would be no point in doing this.... the only thing that would result is that the price of gem grade diamonds would fall and the Customer would save money. Now, they wouldn't want that to happen, would they?? :-)
Best wishes,
Kevin
