Yes, I also use an inverter. Nice items. But I like to use my electric 
chainsaw with my electric golf cart. I can carry a spare battery but would 
like to use the 36v pack in the cart. I have just reconnected the batteries 
for 12 V but that's a pain. Could wire in lots of high powered diodes but 
that's costly. Or some kind of switch but that would turn into a rats nest.

The other option would be a homemade roto-converter. Take a high eff. 36 vdc 
motor and turn a modified car alternator (120 vdc). The motors in a skilsaw 
and chainsaw should run on 120vdc.

Hows the banking in Belize? Looks like ours is going to go to hell in a hand 
basket.
