Hi Gang,
I did send that to Peter off-list, not intending to get it dragged  
back here, but I'll confirm that I'm happy to pass on copies of that  
paper.

I'm getting a bit miffed at being tarred with the eurocentric brush  
just because I live in North America with a Scottish name.  I came to  
admire Shaman/Chief Kitpou more than my own father.

In "Lila" Robert Persig reminds us of James Sedis, who was first  
celebrated for prodigious intelligence, and then ridiculed for  
drawing parallels between the constitutions of Washington D.C. and  
that of the Penobscot Indians who had previously been there.  The  
notion that all men are created equal was not self-evident to any  
european who had not "gone native."
