[Gasification] blower suggestions?

Jim,
If you have a local Harbor Freight store, look at their dust collectors:

Drive motor has two brushes; speed should be controllable, but is a
potential ignition source. Don't know blower wheel material, assuming
sheet metal(?). The product manual is available, from the web site.
Might be worth consideration.
