[Gasification] blower suggestions?

Lets assume that the fan is driven by an induction motor without brushes.
One could put in an explosion-proof motor (Class 1 Div.II) from a junk yard
or simply operate with adequate ventilation. The volumes of gas contained in
the system are small in any case and crimped stovepipe would simply pop its
seams. For sawdust collection the issue is ignition of the collected
sawdust. The "explosion" itself is easily handled with improvised rupture
discs (several layers of aluminum foil or graphite if you want to go
up-town). Bonding of ductwork and providing frequent drains to ground is
always a good idea, also.

i haven't followed this thread but if there is a flameable gas going
through the motor area , it's only a matter of time when the right
explosive mixture will be ignited by the brushes on the armature.
