[Gasification] blower suggestions?

greg's vac/blower is from a central vac system.  this looks like a
good solution.  i hadn't thought of that one either.  they exist in
the $150 range.  not sure if the motor is induction and needing a
variable freq drive or series wound and light dimmer/variac ok.  i
currently use a theatrical variac to control my vac/blower speed.
