I wonder if we should be working on a rig with a thin blade that  
slices wood into very short lengths.  These might be fed through  
rollers to crack any wide slabs in half on the way to a sizing  
screen.  Excess fine particles might go to a briquetter or other  
use.  It would be nice to have feed rollers that are as easy to throw  
logging slash into as a bonfire.
