[Gasification] Horizontal

You can ignite the woodgas and air mixture with small amounts of diesel. in 
practcal use this will require about 10 % of the diesel you normally would 
use.

Ignition can be done with less diesel than this but you will then get 
problems with getting the injectors cooled. Some heavy soot deposits may 
also appear with very little diesel injected.

If you use diesel injection for igniting the mixture, you can use a 
compression ratio of 1:17. With spark plugs you have to lower the 
compression ratio to about 1:13 in order to avoid knocking.
